While the snow keeps many building sites dormant in the winter, the crew at our SmartPads production facility in Vernal, Utah is busy building all year. That is one of the key reasons modular home construction is a great way to build! We save our clients time and money by building indoors. Speaking of building indoors, we’d like to introduce our Production Manager Scott Daley. Scott is a tremendous part of our team and always a fan favorite of our clients.
Meet Scott
I grew up in Central Utah. I have been married for almost 41 years and we have 6 children (5 daughters and 1 son) and 16 grandchildren. I love to be in the outdoors and the mountains. I have been involved in Residential Construction for most of my 45-year career, working in various states throughout the US.
I moved to Vernal in 2013, and I love it here. It offers me everything that I like to do. I have been with SmartPads for over 2 years, and I look forward to many more. I enjoy working for SmartPads as they are great people to work for. They have a genuine interest in their customers and their employees. I enjoy working with my fellow employees here at the facility. It’s a great group of people who all have a genuine interest in providing a quality product.
Q: How do you like to spend your weekends?Scott: My favorite weekend activity is to get into my side-by-side and ride through the mountains. It’s a great stress reliever. You can get a better perspective on life up there.
Q: What is your favorite place to eat out in Steamboat?Scott: 7-11 Ranch Restaurant. The food is good, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable.
Q: What is the most fun part of your job?Scott: The part of my job that is the most rewarding is when I have the opportunity to walk through a completed home with the homeowner. It’s great to hear their satisfactory remarks and see their excitement.
Q: How do you bring value to SmartPads customers?Scott: The greatest way I bring value is by ensuring the product is finished on time and exceeds the customers’ expectations and satisfaction. I make sure the home meets the quality a customer expects from SmartPads.
Q: What do you feel has the biggest impact on the look and feel of a home?Scott: The quality of finishes makes the biggest impact on the feel of a home.
Q: What is one piece of advice you’d give potential SmartPads homeowners to help them?Scott: Early and accurate communication is vital. The earlier and more accurate the communication of desired design and finishes, the better the chance for success is achieved.
