Brandi is the glue that holds everything together at our build facility in Vernal. As the Procurement and QA Manager, Brandi keeps SmartPads projects running smoothly by making sure the right materials are on hand and that every part of the build meets our high standards. She’s the one catching little details before they become big problems, helping each home come together efficiently—and beautifully.

Meet Brandi

I grew up in Vernal, where I also met my husband in high school. After living in Salt Lake City for about three and a half years, we decided to move back to our hometown last year. That’s when I joined SmartPads, and I’ve loved every minute of it!

My husband and I have three rescue dogs and a rescue cat. Lady is an Aussie-Collie mix, Buddy is a German Shepherd-Anatolian mix, Storm is a husky, and Mittens is our calico cat. Growing up on a cattle ranch gave me a soft spot for animals, and now that we’ve bought our first home, I’m excited to hopefully get some chickens next spring! Maybe it's time we start exploring SmartPads barn design options? 

Q: How do you like to spend your weekends?

I love spending weekends in the mountains with my husband and our three dogs. Whether we’re camping, fishing, or exploring somewhere new, it’s our favorite way to spend time together.

Q: What is your favorite place to eat out in Vernal?

I enjoy a local steakhouse called Swain Brothers. They have the BEST chicken pesto pasta.

Q: What part of your job is the most fun?

Final walkthroughs with the homeowners—without a doubt. I love seeing their faces light up as they walk through their soon-to-be home. It’s so rewarding to be a part of that moment.

Q: How do you bring value to SmartPads customers?

I work hard to make sure every detail is handled to the highest standard, supporting our team in delivering a top-tier product. My goal is to ensure our clients feel confident in the quality and care that goes into their home.

Q: What do you feel has the biggest impact on the look and feel of a home?

Honestly, I think paint color plays a huge role in setting the tone and feel of a home. But I also love seeing countertops and final trim go in—those finishing touches really start to reflect the homeowner’s personal style.

Q: What makes the SmartPads design different?

The quality—hands down. SmartPads stands apart from the typical idea of modular homes thanks to our attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the level of customization we offer. It’s a whole different standard.

Q: What are some common things people don’t think about (but should) when building SmartPads homes?

It’s often the small details that make a home truly functional and personalized. Features like pasta arms, steam showers, extra storage, under-cabinet lighting, filtered water, and cabinet upgrades—like pull-out trash bins, spice racks, or built-in knife blocks—can make a big difference in everyday comfort. Even planning ahead for wall blocking if you want to hang art in specific spots helps make the space feel intentional. I think it’s important to create a home that’s both beautiful and practical, and those little touches really add up.

Q: What advice would help potential SmartPads homeowners as they begin the process?

A lot of my advice ties back to the little details—those thoughtful touches that make a home both functional and personal. But beyond that, I think layout is key. For example, I love having big windows in the kitchen, especially above the sink. Thinking through how you’ll use each space and what features matter most to you—early in the process—helps the team bring your vision to life and avoid costly changes down the road.
