Telluride 2

Built for a growing family putting down long-term roots in the mountains they call home.

For this young couple, building a home in Telluride was about more than construction. After years of moving between rentals and smaller homes while trying to establish long-term roots, they wanted a place that finally felt permanent for their growing family.

Working with SmartPads gave them a way to build a fully custom home while keeping the process and budget more manageable in one of the country’s most competitive mountain markets. The design focused on everyday living: open gathering spaces, carefully selected finishes, and a second floor positioned to capture sweeping views of Wilson Peak. While the realities of site work in Telluride still brought challenges, the home itself stayed on track, helping the family move closer to the stability and mountain lifestyle they had been working toward for years.

Why Modular

Less Waiting

Traditional home builds can take two years or more. With SmartPads, your home is built while your site is being prepared, allowing both processes to happen at the same time.

Factory-Precise

Every SmartPads home is constructed in a controlled factory environment, protected from weather delays and changing site conditions. This approach allows for greater consistency and quality control.

Fixed Pricing

One of the biggest challenges in traditional construction is uncertainty. With SmartPads, your home price is established before construction begins. While changes you make along the way can affect the final cost, our process is designed to provide greater transparency.
